Thankful Thursday

I am having a hard time being thankful today. Overall, it hasn't been a good day. Still, I feel it's important to find the silver lining in every rain cloud, so I am going to try.

I am thankful for the amazing "framily" we have here in Idaho. Hell, they aren't even "framily" anymore...they're just family. Without our very wonderful Idaho Family, I never would have got through my husbands deployment this past winter. As it is with the Air Force and the entire military, you'll never get to be with your family forever, and we found out today that we are losing family to the dreaded PCS. They will be heading to Sunny Florida and we'll be staying here in flat, brown, Idaho, and that makes me feel terrible.

"However dot dot dot"(even typing that makes me smile...it's an inside joke I won't bother to explain here) I am blessed that I have had this time with them! I am thankful and blessed that I knew them at all. I am thankful that, even from across the country, I know we'll still be family. My son will still have his Uncle and his Mimi and his Best Friend...even if it's just over the internet until we can all be together again.

It is terribly hard to lose friends and family. It is all part of this life, but it is wonderful to be blessed enough to have people like these touch our lives...and for that I am thankful.

Are you thankful? Come join the Thankful Thursday blog hop at the Nut House.

Ya know, I really don't know how any of you deal with deployment. I really don't. All of you military wives are the strongest women I know. Seriously. I tell my husband it all the time. I give you so much credit!

I agree with Danielle! I am always so amazed and impressed with the strength and courage of military wives {and their husbands too, of course!}

Thanks so much for joining my Thankful Thursdays last week...Sorry I didn't get over here sooner!
